The Aston Matin Vulcan is hands down my dream car, its aggressive styling and its borderline crazy performance. left a lasting impression on me from day one. Its naturally aspirated 7.0L v12 pushes over 800BHP, catapulting the Vulcan from 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds to past 200mph, it costs 1.8 million pounds and cant be driven on the road which to a lot of people would make it sound pointless. However what gets me about the Vulcan is what its soul is, starting with its name “Vulcan” which was borrowed from the Cold War British jet bomber made by Avro; like its big brother the Vulcan makes the most beautiful but borderline terrifying noise I have ever heard. The sound really makes the hairs on my neck stand up while sending a shiver down my spine, its nothing other than stunning to hear. Although it sounds is one of its key charms for me the styling is something to behold. Its aggressive face that looks like it wants to bite your hand off; gives it a scary charm that I love, then as your eyes trace down its body its muscular wheel arches scream power, then to its unconventional rear lights, which look like something from the future, finally concluding with its no bs rear wing that is only there to stop the car taking off. all these factors make the Vulcan, in my opinion, the best looking car I have ever seen. The Vulcans whole feel is rounded off by way it drives. So first off I haven’t driven a Vulcan no surprise there, however, I have seen Chris Harris drive it, and what I can gather is this. Due to the Vulcans absence of computers and hybrid systems, it feels pure and brutal to drive, almost as if it was trying to kill you. Its combination of being the most powerful car Aston Martin has ever made and the fact that it uses old faction mechanics with no hybrid systems really makes the Vulcan feel like one last cheer to the old generation of cars. I think that may be why I love it.
