Yachts are something that I didn’t see myself having an interest for when I was thinking about a possible career but after doing a short project it has opened my eyes to the concept of designing one and even building a career from them. I was told to redesign the Wally Yacht. I think what I liked about designing a yacht was that I felt as though I had a lot of control in the whole design, unlike a car which has set factors like wheels base, length and overall size. A Yacht can become almost anything. Apart from it needing to float, I had free reign to do as I pleased with the design; granted I wasn’t very adventurous with my first design (this project) but it gave me so much to think about and I keep having ideas on what I could do with a yacht if/ when I design one again and that really excites me.
